The Knight and the Moth: Cover Redesign, 2025
This book cover was created as my final project for Visual Lab V at Florida Atlantic University. I chose *The Moth and the Knight* to challenge myself with the romantasy genre, blending medieval influences with contemporary fantasy aesthetics.
My initial concept explored linocuts to evoke a rugged medieval feel, but I ultimately shifted to fine, textured line work that better reflected the genre’s elegance while maintaining its historical inspiration. Swirling line motifs reference both the etched details of a knight’s armor and the intertwined journeys of the characters, creating a cover that balances medieval atmosphere with modern romantasy design.
